StallCall Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

StallCall ("the app") helps you find nearby public restrooms. This page explains what data the app uses, why, and how it's handled. We built StallCall to work with as little personal data as possible.

Location

StallCall asks for your location (only "while using the app") to show restrooms near you and calculate walking distance and time. Your coordinates are sent to the public map/restroom data services the app queries — OpenStreetMap (Overpass API), Refuge Restrooms, Apple Maps (MapKit), and select official city open-data feeds — solely to look up nearby results. StallCall does not operate its own server that logs or stores your location history; your location is used live, for each search, and is not retained beyond that.

Sign in with Apple

If you choose to sign in, StallCall uses Sign in with Apple. The identifier, name, and/or email Apple provides are stored only on your own device, to keep your saved stalls, badges, and confirmations tied to your profile. This information is not transmitted to or stored on any StallCall server, because StallCall does not currently operate one.

Content you add

Favorites, confirmations, badges, and any restrooms you add through "Add a stall" are stored locally on your device (in iOS's standard app storage). They are not currently uploaded to or shared through any StallCall server.

What we don't do

Third-party services

Because StallCall pulls restroom data from OpenStreetMap, Refuge Restrooms, Apple Maps, and city open-data portals, your search coordinates are sent to those services to retrieve results, subject to their own privacy practices. We don't control how these third parties handle that data beyond the request itself.

Changes to this policy

If StallCall's data practices change — for example, if we introduce an optional shared leaderboard backed by our own server — this page will be updated first, and the update will describe exactly what's new.
